What Is Responsible Gaming?

wg8 treats responsible gaming as a core part of how the platform operates — not an afterthought. Gambling is entertainment. When it stops being fun, it becomes a problem, and wg8 has built practical tools to help you stay in control before that happens.

Age Verification – 18+ Only

wg8 only accepts players who are 18 years of age or older. This is a firm rule with no exceptions.

During registration you confirm your date of birth. Before your first withdrawal, wg8 requires identity verification (KYC). Accepted documents include:

Deposit Limits

How to set a deposit limit

3. Enter the amount in BDT and choose the period (daily / weekly / monthly).
4. Confirm. The limit takes effect immediately.

Increasing a deposit limit has a 24-hour cooling-off period before it becomes active. Decreasing a limit takes effect at once — so if you decide to cut back, wg8 acts on that decision right away.

The minimum single deposit on wg8 is ৳300. Setting your limit at or close to that keeps each session small and deliberate.

Session Controls and Loss Limits

wg8 offers session time reminders and loss limits alongside deposit controls.

Session reminders

You can set a session duration alert in Account Settings. When your session reaches the time you set, wg8 displays a notification asking whether you want to continue. It is easy to dismiss, but it creates a deliberate pause — which is the point.

Loss limits

A loss limit stops play automatically once your net loss in a day, week, or month reaches the threshold you choose. Like deposit limits, reductions apply immediately while increases require a 24-hour wait.

Self-Exclusion

If you feel that your gambling is out of control, self-exclusion closes your wg8 account for a fixed period or permanently. During a self-exclusion period you cannot log in, deposit, or place bets.

How to self-exclude

1. Log in and go to Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Self-Exclusion.
2. Choose a duration: 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, or Permanent.
3. Confirm your decision. The exclusion takes effect within minutes.

Alternatively, contact wg8 support via live chat or email and request self-exclusion directly. The support team operates 24/7 and will action the request without delay.

A temporary self-exclusion cannot be reversed early. If you choose a 3-month period, the account remains closed for the full 3 months regardless of requests to reopen it. Permanent self-exclusion is irreversible.

Any balance remaining at the time of self-exclusion is held securely. After the exclusion period ends (for temporary exclusions), you can request a withdrawal of any outstanding balance before deciding whether to reactivate the account.

Recognising Problem Gambling

Problem gambling does not always look like gambling every hour of the day. It often starts with small changes in how you feel about and approach play. Ask yourself the following questions honestly:

• Do you spend more than you planned when you sit down to play?
• Do you chase losses — deposit again after losing to "win it back"?
• Has gambling affected relationships, work, or finances in the last month?
• Do you feel anxious or irritable when you are not able to play?
• Have you borrowed money or sold items to fund gambling?
